Introducing the Farmshed App for iPhones
We’d like to introduce Slow Food CNY members and enthusiasts to a great new tool for your iPhone — an iPhone application called Farmshed, that lists all of the direct-market farms, farmers markets, CSAs, locavore restaurants, natural food stores and related businesses in Central New York. Created by Neil Brody Miller, Farmshed covers the area from east of Cooperstown to west of Rochester, and from Oneonta to the southern end of the Finger Lakes, so it includes all of Central New York. At present there are around 800-900 listings, and new listings and categories are still being added – Finger Lakes wineries, Events, local coffee roasters, etc. Keep an eye out for the Farmshed app for Droid phones as well.
If you’d like to download the app, it’s available at the iTunes App Store. For more information, visit the Farmshed CNY website, www.farmshedcny.com or the Farmshed Nation blog, www.farmshednation.com. Farmshed CNY is also on Facebook and Twitter.
